Entered into force
The Commission confirmed entry into force of the AI omnibus, including revised high-risk application dates. This completes a different stage from May’s political agreement and June’s final Council approval.

Article 50 transparency receives guidance
Guidance published
The Commission published guidance on transparency obligations for certain AI providers and deployers. It addresses matters including interaction with AI, synthetic-content identification and deepfake disclosure, ahead of the August application milestone. Scope and exceptions require reading the actual provisions.

The Malaysian lens
Our Malaysian implication: an extended high-risk timetable should not obscure what users need to know at the interface. A service should map its chatbot notices and synthetic-media labels separately from its high-risk classification work.
