From a citation to an answer

  • Record jurisdiction, source title, publication date, effective date and the date accessed.
  • Locate the exact provision or paragraph. Confirm whether later amendments or appeals affect it.
  • Keep allegations separate from findings. Check reporting restrictions and privacy before quoting cases.
  • Use public links rather than reproducing licensed databases. Some portals may require authentication, have changing URLs or offer incomplete English translations.

Malaysia’s Shariah lens

Bank Negara Malaysia’s Shariah Advisory Council concerns Islamic finance within its remit. That is not the same as every state’s Shariah jurisdiction. A question about a family matter, a financial product or capital-market activity may require different authorities and qualified advisers.
