Royal Assent
The UK Data (Use and Access) Act received Royal Assent. It addresses data use, digital verification and changes to the data-protection framework. Implementation is staged, so assent does not mean every provision started that day.

Agreement signed
Malaysia and EFTA signed their economic partnership agreement after concluding negotiations in April. Signature is a distinct step from completion of ratification and entry into force.
