Mandatory identity verification starts
Phased rollout begins
Companies House began its mandatory identity-verification rollout. New appointments and existing directors follow different timing rules; existing directors enter a transition linked to the relevant confirmation statement.

The Malaysian lens
Our reading for Malaysian businesses is that commencement requires evidence of completion, not just an intention to comply. An investment campaign needs an accountable approval route. A UK corporate appointment needs the correct person, process and filing timetable. Neither can be completed by a generic compliance statement on a website.
QUESTION TO ASK
Can the responsible team produce dated proof that the applicable requirement has been satisfied?
Watch / next step
Resolve gaps in records and confirm the rules for each role. Do not assume that all existing UK directors had the same verification deadline on 18 November.
